Sunday Night Selections

Two songs about being naked. Two songs about money. Well we all know which two of my three alter-egos are the dominant ones...

Rock
The Bloodhound Gang - "The Ballad of Chasey Lain"
Most guys have a favorite porn star. Some collect their videos. Some buy their magazines. Some even go far enough to buy their "collectible dolls." But most don't write songs about them. The Bloodhound Gang didn't get that memo.
Favorite Line: "I just wanted to ask could I eat your ass." Lyrical genius.

Watch A Video of the Remix - NSFW - (I actually heard the remix way back when before seeing either video. Hence the only reason its included. I like the music better.)

Rap
Rick Ross - "Hustlin"
As of now this is my Pre-Memorial Day pick for "Song of Summer 06." If not the original, the remix featuring Jay-Z and Young Jeezy is a DEFINITE summer banger. This track has all the essentials of a hot summer track - simple lyrics, solid baseline, catchy hook, sounds great blaring out of a set of speakers, and the ability to get the entire crowd hyped. Watch for this one to have long term potential throughout the summer.

Random
Ray Stevens - "The Streak"
You know, I actually find this song funny. But I shouldn't ever hear it on the radio. Let alone 4 times in a week. Welcome to life in the Pee Dee Region of South Carolina. Where backwoods is mainstream and education is frowned upon.
Watch The Video (There was a video for this? Well I'll be damned.)

Retro
Madonna - "Material Girl"
No real justification as to why this throwback song of the week. It's just been stuck in my head someting fierce. At one point and time I listened to it at least eight times in a row. Its moments like that that make me wonder if someone slipped some sugar into my tank.
