SF Emerald Bowl!
No way Jose! lol, i cant believe that ive never actually used that in context before.
Seriously though, there is no way we go to that bowl. Our most likely bowls are Music City, Gator, or Meineke Car Care.

SF Emerald Bowl.... Takes Pac 10 and ACC #6/7/8.
Note: Florida State, Virginia Tech, Boston College and Maryland have all made the trip to San Francisco.
Also.. Florida State vs UCLA in 2006 was one of the highest rated bowl games that year and SOLD OUT!
Clemson fans will travel.... and I have a hunch we will see UC Berkeley/Cal Bears at this bowl too!
Last time Clemson played Cal was in 1992...

The SF Emerald Bowl gets to choose 5th, 6th, or 7th. And the way it works is if Clemson is still available after the Champs Sports Bowl (Orlando) picks, which is very doubtful, then they could select Clemson IF the Music City (Nashville) or Continental Tire (Charlotte) bowls don't select Clemson. I wouldn't hold your breath on Clemson making the trip to San Fran.
About about those teams you listed...
FSU: When they went, they were horrible. They had no choice but go because everyone got better bowls.
VT: They were in the Big East then. Different set of tie-ins.
BC/Maryland/GT: None of those teams travel well. Hence why they are always available to be picked.
Be ready to book a flight back to the east coast Jose.

It's our rivalry game. But as you can tell by our overall record, it's really not. And I don't know if I'm going to the bowl game. I've been to the Champs (Tangerine) and Music City Bowls before and had decently good times. Charlotte would be interesting just because it's so close.
But if the game is in San Fran like Jose wants, I'm definitely going to pass on that one.
so, I wrote a email to the Director of The Emerald Bowl... asking him to bring the Clemson Tigers to San Francisco and gave me reasons...
this was his response:
"We like Clemson a lot, but expect they will be chosen by one of the bowls above us in the selection order. Thanks for your interest in the Emerald Bowl.
Gary Cavalli"
I did not vote for Obama... but I am "hoping" for a "change" that Clemson plays in SF.... si se puede!
